Revolutionize Virtual Meetings with Google Meet’s Latest Feature: Individual Video Tile Pause!

Google Meet is introducing a new feature that enables the pausing of video streams for individual tiles, aimed at enhancing concentration on regular speakers or presenters.

To deactivate specific feeds, locate the three-dot menu adjacent to the person’s name in the sidebar on the web page and select “Don’t watch”. On mobile, a new “Audio only” mode exists that disables all feeds except the presenter’s feed. It is anticipated that Google will introduce this feature to desktop users in the future.

The “Audio only” mode can be useful for saving data while traveling.

According to Google, Meet users can switch off their video feeds without notifying others, and the meeting experience will not be affected.

The company has begun implementing the feature and plans to offer it to all users in a few weeks. Admins are not able to disable the feature for individual users, ensuring its availability at all times.
